You Are Worth Waiting for

“We want someone to tell us we are beautiful, someone to cuddle us and be there for us, a shoulder to lean on, because we feel we require a validation…”

Most of the time, we tend to focus on the need for companionship and forget what we are supposed to do. How can you give or show love to someone without first giving your love to God? The bible says in Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” How can you have a soul mate if you don’t give your soul to God? Our heart and soul must be towards God first, before we think of dating or companionship. We all need to pause and ask ourselves the reason we date, because most of the time we date or go into a relationship because we want someone to validate our value. We want someone to tell us we are beautiful, someone to cuddle us and be there for us, a shoulder to lean on, because we feel we require a validation from someone. No more self-belief!

However, we need to look unto God who valued us by sending His only son to love us all, in spite of all our shortcomings, to know who we are, and how valuable we are. Dating is good, but if we go into any relationship and we don’t have value or moral standard that we need to put in to the relationship, we will end up in several bad relationships, looking for values and morals.

Nevertheless, most of the time we fail to understand that men can smell desperation from miles away, know it today girls, YOU ARE VALUABLE WITH YOUR LEGS CLOSED. Don’t date for fun, date for purpose, if he says he loves you, then he must be able to wait for you. Start living, because most singles don’t live, they wait.
