The Depth of God’s Love

My Dad said something when I was growing up and I think it’s so true. He spoke very little to me, because he was always out working to enable him put food on the table for us… His words to me, one of very few, was that “to your own self, be true” Jesus put it this way, “cast the beam out of your own eyes, then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye”.

We are all God’s children and He loves us all. If you want to decide if something is of God or Satan, you just need to discern whether what you are hearing is in accordance with the nature of God or the nature of Satan. It is simple, because He says in the Lord’s Prayer, “Let thy kingdom come”. That is, His kingdom comes to the earth. That communion with God, that relationship with God, which is simply found in the word, love, of course, so much bigger than anything we can actually comprehend. The opposite of this is when God is trying to reunite us with Himself, Satan is always trying all he can do to pull us apart. He will always like to damage our relationships, principally, the family. And also, he wants to destroy our channels of communications with the father and our fellow men.

Separated for a Mission

                        C. David

At this point, I wonder if you have actually asked God to let you hear Him and really recognise His voice and to hear Him clearly. Also ask Him what His purposes and plans are. I believe what He requires is for us to pull apart and be separated for Him. This means separation from our sins and old ways of life. It is also crucial to always return to Jesus to give us His final word on anything before going deep into it. God has interpreted separation into my mind as not separating ourselves from the people and the rest of the world, because just like them, we were once enemies of God, but by His grace and love, He rescued us from darkness into His light. Then why does anyone have to oppose anyone called to repentance?

We should be all about spreading this message of hope and love, and to be God’s witnesses. All the way down the history, from the beginning of the Bible, right to the end, we have been called to be His witnesses and that is the reason we have been chosen. It is therefore very important that we accomplish this purpose for everyone who has been saved. For everyone who says that God has chosen me, He has not chosen us above anyone else. If we go back to the well-known scripture, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).

“Satan is always trying all he can do to pull us apart. He will always like to damage our relationships, principally, the family.”

To yourself, be TRUE

This is actually a message to everyone, and not a certain set of people. Well, “I don’t kill people”, but even if some has killed before, the message of the gospel does not exclude them. When people are being looked down upon, and they are called stupid and worthless, they are not encouraged to fulfil the purpose of God, as these words will have diminishing effects on them. God has not created anyone stupid. In your heart, you are separating yourself, instead of integrating yourself into the family of God and making the God-given impact. So we are not called to look down on people, rather, we are being separated in God to live and work in unity with others in Christ. My Dad said something when I was growing up and I think it’s so true. He spoke very little to me, because he was always out working to enable him put food on the table for us. In his terms, he said he was expressing his love in doing the job of a father. His words to me, one of very few, was that “to your own self, be true” Jesus put it this way, “cast the beam out of your own eyes, then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye”. And that is not just a Christian brother, but the human race; whoever you come across, because everybody on this earth has only one creator, who is God.  We need to start doing what we have been chosen for, which is to spread the love of God.

“We are not waiting to cross the Jordan on our death bed. The Jordan needs to be crossed here on earth, while we are alive. We are made to enjoy the blessings of God and victory over enemies here on earth, and if we don’t get that, we are missing out on the whole point of life, as our eternal life starts from here on earth.”

Open up and He Will Respond

We probably know a lot of scriptures, we all do. When it comes to preaching or teaching the word of God, the Holy Spirit which is the answer, as Jesus Christ promises, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20). It all means, as many that would open their heart unto Christ, He will come in and abide with them. And for us to have that fellowship with the father and the son, the Holy Spirit must have a dwelling position in our lives because He is a Triune God. The Holy Spirit has been sent to us to teach us all things. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26). We therefore no longer need anyone to take us through the altar of repentance, as we now have access to the throne to approach the father.

Don’t Miss Out

At this point, you and I now have an unhindered access to approach the father and ask for a new heart, which will enable us fellowship with Him without any obstacles. You can request a refresh of your relationship with Him, in order to have a clearer purpose and vision for your life. We are not waiting to cross the Jordan on our death bed. The Jordan needs to be crossed here on earth, while we are alive. We are made to enjoy the blessings of God and victory over enemies here on earth, and if you don’t get that, you are missing out on the whole point of life, as your eternal life starts from here on earth. “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3).
