God’s promises and remain authentic from generations to generations, but it depends on you and I laying hold of these promises, and then we can begin to see the manifestations by faith. Timothy Keller in his book Preaching: Communicating in a Skeptical World, stated that the promises of God is already action.
As an expert in digital marketing and information technology, I have spent a significant amount of time on the online and during this period, the larger part of it has been devoted to researching recently published digital marketing software. At other times, I have been involved in configuring softwares, which usually requires troubleshooting over and over again. After configuring for a specific marketing need, the next stage is to run a set of tests and at this stage, it could take a significant amount of time testing the validity and proficiency of the system before it is finally passed unto the client. Due to this experience, I have seen a quite number of support reports on Google and these have been published by individuals, companies and firms who thought they have solutions to whatever issue that rises from getting the best use of the software.
In all the years of my practice, the only support materials on any software configuration or setup is the one published by the software manufacturer. Now the point I am making here is that no matter what the report I have read or researched, my best clue has always come from educating myself on the software and getting facts directly from the software manufacturer with the recommended method of configuration.
The plan of God was to get the Israelites out of Egypt and take them to the Promised Land, the land of Canaan. Anything short of that is a contrary report, false and invalid. As commanded by God, Moses sent some men to spy out the land of Canaan while in wilderness:
“Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, “Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains, and see what the land is like: whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many; whether the land they dwell in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds; whether the land is rich or poor; and whether there are forests there or not. Be of good courage. And bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes.” (Numbers 13:17-20).
As a result of what they saw during the forty days of the spying exercise, the majority came back with a negative report except Caleb who had a different perspective to taking over the land of Canaan. “But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.” (Numbers 13:31).
While others panicked at the stature and size of the inhabitants of the land and thought the promises of God could not be fulfilled because of circumstances, Caleb stood his ground and had a strong conviction that as long as the Lord lives, His promises and plans can never be thwarted.
“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30). Considering the fact the number of the spies that gave a negative report, the congregation of Israel became immediately influenced by the bad report and they lost hope in moving forward. This negative reaction from the Israelites infuriated God and almost destroyed them, but for Moses and Aaron’s pleading, the Lord pardoned them.

He explains further that His promises is not what to be expected in the future, but already in reality, but these are for those who ignores the report of the world, Google and the News, and hold the Lord by His promises.
