Put in another way, the law laid out here in the above scripture is that if you spend your life bemoaning the things you don’t have, even the things you do have (everyone has something) will be lost…”

Interesting how people would give you nothing until they see what you have already got. The more you have, the higher your negotiating power. With few exceptions, the more you have, the more you get; the less you have, the less you get. It’s not just a natural principle, it’s a supernatural one too:

“Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” – (Mark 4:25)

The above scripture addresses “lack mentality” and not the physical lack itself, otherwise it would not have said “even what they have will be taken from them” right after it says “whoever does not have”. It therefore speaks to the people who are overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy and sense of lack.

Put in another way, the law laid out here in the above scripture is that if you spend your life bemoaning the things you don’t have, even the things you do have (everyone has something) will be lost.

The Rich will get Richer

Now, I am concerned about anyone who isn’t concerned about this law. In God’s life manual which transcends generations, He stresses the importance of utility. I used to think it was all about Him getting a return on His investment. But with time, age and experience, as I began to observe life more closely, I understood that it is not just about His investment, It is also about my preservation and prosperity; because what you don’t use, you lose. This is the same principle upon which Lamarck’s theory of Use and Disuse of Pairs was based.

Because of this principle, no matter how innovative people get on fixing their economy, the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. What is expected of us is to hone our skills and take life headlong. A lot depends on our ability to do this, including what we get overall from life in the end – whether more or less.

Shalom!
