I Think I’m Waiting Too Long

I think I’m waiting too long now, I’ve prayed and fasted and yet nothing is happening  and I don’t think I can wait any longer, newsflash! The bible says in Isaiah 40:31  they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting time is never a wasted time, it’s a time to renew, review and revisit your life, your ways and your walk with God. A precious time to spend enjoying the presence of God, asking Him daily what His will for your life, future, even marriage is?, instead of just whining and complaining, why not talk to God? He hears.

Marriage is sweet and enjoyable, but I tell you most married people would  rather  be in your shoes right now, you know why? They would  love a quality time with God on their own, the one you are enjoying right now, that you do not appreciate, thinking He has forgotten you at the waiting gate and seems  He is  not letting you in anytime soon. Do you know why some married would love to swap places with you? Because their hands are full and they don’t have enough time to spend with God, their love for God is been divided towards their spouses, kids, and other needs in their life, and they’d  wish they are still  single right now, just as Paul said  in 1 Corinthians 7:7-8. when nothing could stop them from enjoying the totality of God presence.

Please do not misunderstand me, I’m not saying marriage will not make you enjoy God in its totality, all I’m saying is there’s going to be a divided attention, you know what? I’ve been there and Infact I’m still there and I’m not for a second thinking of coming out. But sometimes, I just  wish I could go on a retreat all alone just to be with God alone just me and Him, spend time together, see Him face to face, Oh! It’s all but a wish, especially when the kids are still young and need  my  undivided attention.

However, whichever way you choose to go just ensure Christ is in the centre of your decisions and I promise you a lifetime of blissful moments.
