“Yeah, I have seen an angel once physically. Just looks as human, like the rest of us, with blue eyes and in a white robe.”
A gospel minister spoke anonymously about the reality of the SPIRITUAL in our Christian race, and also gave some very sensitive advice to Christian leaders and the entire membership of the church in all British communities, in an interview conducted by Thomas Latcham.
Question : When and how did you come to know Jesus?
Answer: I came to know Jesus as a teenager, I attended the Church of England and the Vicar was born again. He actually led me to Christ and since then, I have not looked back.
Question : Can you say a bit about your walk with God so far?
Answer: It’s been tough (Laughs). It’s been more downs than ups. I would say it’s been more of valley experiences than mountain tops. It’s not been an easy road and the truth for me is taking it one day at a time.
Question : You said you have experience of the supernatural. Could you say more about this?
Answer: Yeah, that’s a big one to answer, but as they say, having a parent that is not in the Lord and seeing how the enemy can use someone in occultic ways could be a person’s worst nightmare really. It’s an experience you would not want to have. Well, that’s the only way to explain that.
Question : Have you seen angels before and what does an angel look like, as most people do not get the chance to see them?
Answer: Yeah, I have seen an angel once physically. Just looks as human, like the rest of us, with blue eyes and in a white robe. With gold sword, I don’t know, looks like he was ready for battle. I have also seen angels spiritually as well, I have seen it in human size and even see it bigger than that.
Question : Have you ever asked God to show you anything specifically out of the ordinary or “supernatural?”
Answer: Yes, I have asked to see Jesus Christ (Laughs…) but I was only able to see certain parts of Him. I have just seen His arms and His slight smile and face and His feet, like helm of His garment and nothing more of Him. But I am praying and hope that I will see Him in heaven on the last day.
Question : What does the experience of seeing an angels left you with? Has such experiences been disturbing? or Were they exciting?
Answer: No, it just leaves you absolutely amazed, there is no fear. Yeah, it just blows your mind really, when God opens your eyes to see this. And this really makes you aware of the spiritual battles that are going on that we can’t see in the physical, unless the Lord opens our eyes to it. Yeah, it’s just really amazing and exciting stuff, really. As I said, it is what the Lord wants you to see, you do not have a control over it.
Question : Has these experiences contributed anything to your spiritual growth in general?
Answer: It’s like the truth in the Bible, that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. We are in a spiritual battle, and you do have the concrete evidence that when God opens your eyes to seeing angels and, even if you have the gifting to see the demons, you are actually seeing that as a reality of the spiritual. The truth is that spiritual battles are going on and they are real. Some of us can’t see that because God does not allow that if you don’t have such gifting. So, It’s quite amazing really. It just shows you that the word of God is so real and incredible. Just superb.
Question : What is your prayer and wish for the present day church and an average Christian in this century about believing in the supernatural?
Answer: Really, at the end of the day, we would realise that we are in a spiritual battle, and it’s real. The powers of darkness are real, and they are not to be messed or to be joked with. I would say that the church, including the pastors and leaderships need to rise up and expose this truth to everyone around them. In doing that, the church and the entire membership would be equipped and take their positions in Christ Jesus. This will also help them to come alongside the Lord and partner with Him in what is going on. All I can say is that when the leadership in churches are not even aware of this truth, they are not having their eyes open to that, it’s a case of “my people perish for lack of knowledge”. Hosea chapter 6 verse 4. So the people of God need to come to the reality of this truth.
