Grace in Imperfection

Every man and woman created by God, regardless of their circumstances of birth, colour and pedigree, has a unique package from God. Through Jesus Christ, we have all been given free access to the throne of grace which has automatically released us into an eternal life in Him once we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

A Story is told of a father that had made an unusual preparation for his unborn son, who was still in his mother’s womb. While the boy was still unborn, the father already bought an estate in his name, signed a life insurance in his name and even opened a bank account in his name. He also went ahead to deposit a large sum of money in the bank account of his unborn male child. In the midst of this preparation, his wife queried, why he gave so much attention to building so many assets for a child that was still in the womb. “My empire will be an everlasting one and my only son shall reign over all my estates and subjects. There won’t be any lack or a period of drought in all his entire reign with all the provisions that would be made available” That was the response of the father to his wife. In this little story, God is the father and David represents the unborn child. The throne of Israel had already been prepared by God for David, even before he was anointed King. Acts 13:22-23 “And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus.”

God, the father, had already granted grace to David, even before Samuel ordained him king over Israel. The human imperfection and failures were not enough to pull down whoever God has ordained for an assignment.

Out of the eight sons of Jesse, David, the youngest and the most naturally unqualified, was chosen by God and he was anointed. Although, Samuel was not convinced about David, as Eliab was available, but God specifically made it clear to him that it was not about charisma and good looks, but the truth is that David, the shepherd boy, had been predestined  to be King before the foundation of the earth. Therefore, every preparation has been made even before he was born.

Likewise, every man and woman created by God, regardless of their circumstances of birth, colour and pedigree, has a unique package from God. Through Jesus Christ, we have all been given free access to the throne of grace which has automatically released us into an eternal life in Him once we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. We do not have to struggle to have anything, our future is already preserved and all we require to live and be prosperous have been prepared for us, even before we were formed in our mother’s womb. David’s age was a yardstick to disqualify him to be anointed as king, his sinful act with Beersheba, and killing Uriah, were not enough reasons for God to change His mind about David. Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world still originated from the linage of King David. It is stated in John 7:42 “Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”

God is omniscience, knowing all things and grants grace to those He has predestined to be used of Him, even if they err, but still come back to Him in repentance.

The uniqueness of a man lies in the original creative power of God, the Creator of heaven and earth. The secret behind this revelation is in being oneself and not striving to be somebody else. The originality of God’s special package in you could only be activated if the imitation attitude does not play up in your daily activities. Jeremiah 1:4-5 “Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” In the above scriptural message, Jeremiah was a born prophet to the nations and not a warrior, which means he could only be fulfilled doing the work of a prophet. The only avenue to your fulfilment is discovering who you are and following the divine manual of how God created you and what you are created to be.

However, it is noteworthy that this clue is really meant for the broken-at-heart. For this truth to be real to you, you must be ready to enrol in the school of starters with Jesus. I mean the spiritual elementary school with the creator, and be dead to your earthily knowledge and experience about the human making, focusing on God’s creative school of thought. But categorically, I can confirm to you that the end to all identity discovery struggles, even in the face of imperfection, is really focusing on God and total surrender to grace for sustenance in Christ Jesus.
