And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions…
Joel 2.28
Some people say God doesn’t speak anymore today because everything he needs to say is all written down in the Bible…but in my opinion, people like this don’t formulate this idea on their own but from a false bible teacher. Why false? Because God still speaks today through his spirit, through dreams, and through visions. Not only do some experience it, but God also confirms his word through other people. This is not an opinion; however, this is speaking directly from experience.
This came to pass as explained by Peter in Acts 2.17… “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams”
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11 KJV)
It is very clear to me that seasoned Christians who don’t possess any of these gifts have never been baptised in the holy spirit and has no relationship with God because, Christ died to unite us with God (read John 17 particularly verse 21) and he said in Romans 8:14: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Jesus also said in John 10:27-28: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
If you’re a Christian and you’re not being led by God, you have some repenting to do.
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3.19).
Not my words. His words!
