Get Set. Ready. Go!

The final element needed for true revival to take place is the rededication of our lives to the things of God.  After the Levites had purified the temple, they reported back to King Hezekiah that they had completed the purification of the whole temple.

The repentance was complete, the temple was now purified and cleansed and was ready for service.  It then says that King Hezekiah did not delay in returning to the temple with the people and they made sacrifices, worshiped with song and music and then they knelt and worshiped God.

Following repentance there then comes a renewed call to service.  Hezekiah calls the people and says in 2 Chronicles 29 v 31

“Now that you are ritually clean, bring sacrifices as offerings of thanksgiving to the Lord”

They were ready and prepared to return to temple service.  And v 35 and 36 says,

“So, the temple of the Lord was restored to service.  King Hezekiah and the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for His people, because it was done so quickly”

Once our repentance is complete, we must then rededicate our lives to the work of the Lord, by getting on our knees, worshipping, and seeking His face to find out what He wants us to do next.

We recommit to our service in the church, in the community, in our families, in our work, in our giving. All we do, we do unto the glory of God and for no other reason. We give above and beyond to the Lord, no longer is it acceptable to do enough to just get by. Jesus is returning soon to take His church home, we need to be ready, we need to daily repent, we need to get out there and tell people about Jesus.

So let us be REVIVED and GO out and do the things He is asking of us once we are revived, and our vessels are clean and pure and full of light then the spiritual awakening around us may start to happen. The more people see Jesus in us the more they will want Him for themselves. I believe this revival has started, I know personally in my own life, God is challenging me and changing me, I know I have a way to go, but I pray that every day I become more like Jesus and become more attractive to those who do not yet know Him. I know other people also who have a renewed passion to deepen their intimacy with God. God is ready to release the gift of revival upon His church. Are you ready to receive it?
