Everyone is Waiting

The truth is EVERYONE somewhere, somehow, someday is WAITING for something. Your waiting time may be different from mine. My reason of waiting might be different from yours.

The Spinster awaits the long expected wedding day just like a student or an apprentice awaits the day of graduation. The pregnant woman anxiously waits for the day of delivery. After the child-birth, the parent waits for the baby to crawl, walk, talk, run, start school and graduate one day. To wait is to stay in a place expecting something. Thus, one who waits is hopeful, for to wait is to expect.

The one who is unwell awaits healing, grace to carry on with the illness or death the last result. A job Seeker waits for positive response, a political contestant anxiously await the result of election. A wife anxiously awaits for the return of her husband who has been at the war front for a while.

The truth is EVERYONE somewhere, somehow, someday is WAITING for something. Your waiting time may be different from mine. My reason of waiting might be different from yours. The dominant factor is we are all waiting.

“Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

Wait not on yourself, wait not for anyone but in prayers, faith and trust. Wait for the Lord. In waiting, the Lord renews your strength and makes you whole everyday of your life. Remember you are not the only one in the waiting room. The God of the night is the same God of the morning.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:28-31).

One Response

  1. I am encouraged by this theme, indeed everyone somewhere is awaiting. God bless you .
    Now, I’ve got a question and it is this:
    Proverbs: 13. 12. says Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. how does one is waiting continues in line with this quotation’s of the Bible, knowing fully well that he has been waiting and for how long?
