I believe the Lord is sending out heavenly invitations to all His children, asking them to get involved in the great move of God that is coming. Will you say ‘yes’? Will you enter into all He has for you to do in these last days? How will your invitation arrive? It may surprise you. It could even be through this article. God is asking more of His people, He wants us all to answer the call. If you are to answer ‘yes’ to the invitation you will need to have courage and to trust Him like never before.
I have received my invitation and I have said ‘yes’. There is no turning back for me now. I will have to make sacrifices and no doubt endure suffering in the future, as will you. Yet I know I can trust my Lord and that I cannot say no. I am right at the beginning of a new and exciting stage of my Christian journey. I trust Jesus more now than ever before. He is growing in me in ways I have never experienced before. Jesus tells us that in the last days many will turn away from Him and betray and hate each other. He tells us many will be deceived.
“Then you will be arrested, persecuted and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from Me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it, and then the end will come”. Matthew 24: 9-14 [NLT]

It is God’s desire that none should fall away. Yet, the love of many will grow cold. He wants you to remain strong, to be more courageous than you’ve ever been. This is not the time to stand back or to shy away. It is time to accept your invitation when it arrives. He is calling you.
There will be times when you may sense God is challenging you, and you may be uncomfortable or overwhelmed. Pause in those moments and trust God, the author and finisher of your faith. Remember your first love; that special touch from the Holy Spirit that gave you so much joy. It will be enough to spur you on to greater deeds, to say yes to His invitation.
