Allowing Jesus to Lead

As I woke up this morning, I received a word which I felt very compelled to share. It’s about trusting and receiving directions from God. The question which you and I need to ask ourselves is; do we trust Jesus enough to allow Him lead us in everything we do? It is extremely expedient to attain a point of vivid understanding whether we are leaning on Jesus for grace and His direction as we journey through life.

Trust Precedes Leading

My days were filled with nothing but unproductiveness, confusion, trials and errors. There were no definite vision and plans for the future…

According to Psychology Today, “…trust is important because it allows us to form relationships with people and to depend on them.”What I have found is that there can’t be a viable relationship between two people if there is no trust. Talking about my personal testimony before coming to the place of the Cross, a place where the revelation of who the person of Jesus Christ is, it was a no-trust-no-direction episode of my life. Because I did not trust God enough in everything, it was difficult for me to allow Jesus lead me in everything on a daily basis. My days were filled with nothing but unproductiveness, confusion, trials and errors. There were no definite vision and plans for the future because I did not trust Jesus enough to allow Him lead me in all my ways. The truth is if we do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus, there can’t be trust and if there is no trust, there can’t be a place for dependability on Him, which is meant to be at the centre of our worship and existence.

As much as God is interested in rescuing us from the course of the law, sin and death we also have a role to play in this divine process. We need to build our trust and believe totally in Jesus Christ.

Trusting Jesus All the Way

The wise King Solomon wrote in the Proverbs “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). From that fateful day, that I took a decision to begin to trust Him in everything, I began to experience drastic transformations in all areas of life. Not just part of me, but the whole of my entire being, spirit body and soul decided to begin trust Him. As Solomon wrote, “trust in the Lord with all your heart…” It was a new beginning for me. From that day, a brand new divine GPS (Global Positioning System) was delivered to me and God’s purpose and plan for my life became so clear to me with the divine equipment which would guide me as I move on to attaining my vision.

Building Your Trust

There is a need for every man to develop an urge to trusting Jesus, as this is precedence to allowing Jesus to lead us. As much as God is interested in rescuing us from the course of the law, sin and death we also have a role to play in this divine process. We need to build our trust and believe totally in Jesus Christ. You and I need the leading of God, through Jesus as we go about our everyday routine, as He is the source of wisdom to navigate through the challenges of life. “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:25).
