“Jesus is a source of comfort and encouragement. Recently, I have been praying to the Lord Jesus, seeking His face regarding some matters. Knowing that He is right beside me, listening to every word from me, gives me joy and fulfilment…”
If you ever want to achieve something great that would be a blessing to others, you will find obstacles along the way, because success comes at a price. I’ve always wanted to make a difference. It’s been a funny journey, but I have noticed that standing up for people who are marginalised has come with opposition. Sometimes we need a break! But the good news is that I have found myself recently in a new time of breakthrough and blessing with the vision of being a blessing to my world. Getting to that point of enjoying the love of Jesus, rest and the peace, I feel has not been a quick thing. It is now a relief to be blessed in my spirit and no longer feel even half as afraid as I once was. I praise the Lord for this. It is down to God, His son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit that I am blessed.
Jesus is a source of comfort and encouragement. Recently, I have been praying to the Lord Jesus, seeking His face regarding some matters. Knowing that He is right beside me, listening to every word from me, gives me joy and fulfilment. It has been fun and new. As you would of course expect right? Telling Him stuff, how I feel, and I knew He had done everything for me. It’s been a moment of intimate friendship. Really special!
This is about new ideas and meeting with the right people of like-minds again and again and sharing with them. The Bible tells us to think about good things, deserving of praise, like friends or family, wisdom or intelligent conversation. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”. (Philippians 4:8).
Develop a Right Mindset
Get your mindset right…If you are His and you are in His kingdom, God has promised blessings of peace and joy, He is capable of fulfilling His promises, in relation to your ambitions and plans. However, we stand in the way of God with our very limited human targets. There are biblical principles that need to be watched closely. Obedience to regular forgiveness for example is a ‘’Biggy’’! Also acknowledging the Lord for who He is and loving yourself are very crucial. All these are important to our faith.
Get your mindset right. Think about good things, and desire to always be in the presence of God. It has to be done everyday, as our journey with Jesus Christ is to eternity, and it starts now, as we continually remain in Him. Find encouragement around you in the things He has called you to do…your career, loving others and ministry. He loves you… and I can tell again and again that He really does!
“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
(John 15:9-14).
