Looking back into my past, I had lived a life that has seen many days of open options, a life that has been subjected to engaging in blurry and undecided destinations and aspirations. I have pursued academic, professional and career developments which I thought, could create a mental and inner satisfaction in life, but the reverse is the case. Having being to a significant numbers of strata in this self-designed ambitions, the satisfaction level diminished and this gave birth to an indescribable reversal in my inner self. Then I came to a conclusion that there remains a vacuum that could only be filled by something that is beyond me and my mental fabricates.
Man cannot leave a life in an open world, as we think, but according to the words of Barry Cooper, the author of Can I Really Trust The Bible? “The god of open options is also a liar. He promises you that by keeping your options open, you can have everything and everyone. But in the end, you get nothing and no one.” There is an high level of emptiness and dissatisfaction living the open life in the world of open god.
Though it all looks like you can have all that you want in the jet age of today, but gathering all that are within your human ambitions only gravitates you towards emptiness, dissatisfaction and burden. The more you acquire, the less you become satisfied, fulfilled and happy. This may sound like not true, but that is the reality. The truth is that you need to make a choice today and reach out for the divine substance that can last for eternity and will even settle your psychological premiums here on earth.
The Choice is yours
An eternal provision has been made to solve all the open-world inflicted pressures – Acknowledging Jesus is the remedy…a lasting one. “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:19–20). Strangely, despite the love God has given us, our opinion still counts. We have been given options to choose from, either life or death. So you and I are responsible for the choice we make and therefore accountable for our lives. “It’s your life, your choice”.
Take the decision to save your life today
You also need to be aware that all the earthily ambitions that you may be chasing after have all been included in the benefits which Jesus has paid for. He died that you may live, became poor that you may be rich, suffered that you may enjoy peace. “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Lay aside all the distractions and focus attention on Jesus, who has everything and offers everything, so you can enjoy the free grace, given to you with love from the Jesus. Take the decision to save your life today.
