God created the natural world. When you see Sir David Attenborough speaking on topics like monkeys and seals, you can be rest assured that God saw it first. God is so powerful that He knew that David would make his programmes spanning seven decades or more before we knew the same thing. Just imagine for a moment, looking nose to nose with a strange white fish with orange gills 20,000 feet under the sea. Now imagine God put it there, and He created you and me and located us on the planet earth. Imagine He designed the fish with it’s gills and He knows every blood cell in your body!
The natural order of things is for them to live and develop, or ‘’grow’’, and then die. But why do things need to die anyway? And who doesn’t want to live forever anyway? It wasn’t supposed to be that way surely? God has a solution to that problem believe it or not. He has a son who lived here. (In the year 2000AD) And being 2018AD as it is now, the AD stands for Anno Domini. That actually stands for After Christ. And when Jesus was here on the earth He said many wise things. A lot of stories and proverbs, which helped explain what He meant.
Put simply, His message could be summed up with two principles, to love yourself and others, and to love God (to love Jesus). He wants to be loved and appreciated and obeyed. And He even said ‘’I have come to give life, and life to the full. “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” is known as the gospel of Christ. And it means living forever with a God who cares. But that life is not meant to be in a strange distant heaven with silly and floating angels and with no point to it. It is designed to be a progression and a joyful thing, a joyful life and experience, extending to eternity.
It’s not a natural thing but wonderful and creative. It is supernatural, and not based in the natural order of things. With my hand on my heart, I can tell you I am going to live forever. You could too if you know Jesus and believe in Him. There is an instruction to know Jesus and what He is all about. It also means speaking and dedicating your life to searching to know God, and being curious about His supremacy. Confessing your sins and forsaking them is another secret of drawing nearer the Almighty God. Our human nature is a nature of sin, but we are all justified by grace through Jesus and His righteousness.
If you say ‘’Sorry’’ to Jesus and invite Him into your life. If you agree with Him that you will follow Him wherever He takes you, then you belong to Him. And a new kind of life awaits you, because He already knows you want Him, and He loves you. He won’t let you go or escape from His care! It is all about life after death. It is about obedience to a God, who understands all His creations, and has prepared a blissful eternity for all who believe in Him. It is also about a new style of life here, and after you have lived here, with finally no more earthly restrictions or sadness. It is moving upwards to new things you never imagined were possible. Revelations 21:4 “Say ‘’Yes’’ to Jesus. A prayer for a new life is all that stands between you and Him, and eternity.
